I've kicked off the new year in some new and interesting ways, but I haven't done anything I regret at all. <3

College apps are basically done but I still have to go out and audition for five of eight of my colleges' theatre/musical theatre programs before they decide if I'm in...and that's in February. That's scary.

I'm looking forward to our production of Les Miserables a lot. I'm worried some more people might drop, but if they do it's their loss and I think they shouldn't be so bitter about not being cast in a lead role.

I really want to be in Miss Saigon and I've been told the lead role is almost guaranteed to me, but I refuse to get my hopes up. I don't find out until maybe February so I just keep praying for good things.

I don't have time for artwork. It's really quite sad. I like finding time to doodle during class (baaaaad idea. I think I scribbled down my new ID during APPsych).

I don't have time to make new original music, either. I can write down lyrics but I can't make/record the piano or the vocals because I just don't get the chance to.

I was recently in "Beauty and the Beast" over the summer and I fell in love with the song "A Change in Me" that Belle sings in Act Two. I was neither Belle nor the Beast (I include the Beast because so many people think is funny when they ask).

Notes:
I already know I have sad mic quality, by the way. I'm too involved with other things to really put my money into a new microphone at this time, and I figure if the song's not filled with pops and static and you can basically understand what I'm saying, then I'm all right for now. >D;

Vocally, I don't really like the way I said "A truer life begin/And it's so good and real" but I was honestly too lazy to re-record it. I dislike the "i" in "begin" with a passion.

Oh yeah, and there's a weird static pop at the beginning of the song that was in the karoake. I recall removing it but when I changed the .wav into .mp3 it came back, so I don't know. I'm leaving it for now.
